Wat een fantastische Start of Season was dat afgelopen weekend! Het Mix & Match (super)tiebreaktoernooi was een daverend succes!

Op vrijdagavond werden alle deelnemers gematcht aan hun mix-partner en gingen de poulewedstrijden van start. De strak geprepareerde banen zorgden voor zoveel enthousiasme dat er werd doorgespeeld tot het licht uitging.

Zaterdag ging het toernooi verder met best-of-3 tiebreaks, en rond 16.00 uur stonden de winnaars vast na een zinderende finale tegen Sharmayne en Paul: Dionne en Mark! Zij gingen naar huis met de felbegeerde cheque van €250.

De organisatie kijkt met trots terug op dit eerste event van het seizoen. De positiviteit en sportiviteit spatten ervan af! Prachtige slagenwisselingen tussen sterke(re) spelers – soms net demonstratietennis – werden afgewisseld met leuke rally’s tussen deelnemers van alle niveaus. Wat ons betreft: voor herhaling vatbaar!

What’s next?


Het tennispark is open voor vrij spelen, het rackettrekken begint aanstaande donderdag weer wekelijks, en de laddercompetitie is gestart (je kunt je nog op elk moment aanmelden!).

En... de voorbereidingen voor het volgende event zijn al in volle gang! Op 27 april zijn de Koningsspelen op Tennispark Kralingen. Zet die datum alvast in je agenda, want het belooft minstens zo’n leuk event te worden als afgelopen weekend.

Start of Season

What an amazing Start of Season it was last weekend! The Mix & Match (super) tiebreak tournament was a huge success!

On Friday evening, all participants were paired with their mix partner, and the group stage matches kicked off. The perfectly prepared courts created so much excitement that players kept going until the lights went out.

On Saturday, the tournament continued with best-of-3 tiebreaks, and by 4:00 PM, the winners were decided after a thrilling final against Sharmayne and Paul: Dionne and Mark! They took home the coveted €250 cheque.

The organizers look back on this first event of the season with pride. The positivity and sportsmanship were truly inspiring! Spectacular rallies between skilled players – sometimes resembling exhibition tennis – were mixed with fun exchanges between players of all levels. As far as we're concerned: definitely worth repeating!

What’s next?


The tennis park is open for free play, Racket Trek starts again this Thursday as a weekly event, and the ladder competition is underway (you can still sign up at any time!).

And... preparations for the next event are already in full swing! On April 27, the King’s Games will take place at Tennispark Kralingen. Mark the date in your calendar because it promises to be just as much fun as last weekend!
